About the role
Due to the retirement of a long serving member of our mathematics department, Ōtaki College is seeking a teacher of mathematics. This full-time, permanent position will commence in Term 1, 2027. About us Ōtaki College is a Year 7-13, vibrant, culturally responsive co-educational school. We serve a connected and supportive coastal community. We are a Positive Behaviour for Learning and Huakina Mai School with a roll of approximately 450 students. The role We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of mathematics from Year 9 upwards. This could include Year 13, depending on the strengths of the successful applicant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice, alongside a focus on restorative approaches and student well-being. A proven ability to work collaboratively within a team is essential.
