Guidance Counsellor/ Social Worker

2 days or 3 days per week (to be negotiated on appointment) Position commences Term 1, 2027 We are a friendly, well-resourced, rural college located in Methven, in the heart of Mid Canterbury. We are seeking a professionally registered, experienced and qualified Guidance Counsellor or Social Worker to join our Guidance Team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head of Guidance, Deputy Principals and our team of experienced Deans to continue to support student Wellbeing and Resilience in our school. Mount Hutt College, and the Methven township, lie at the base of Mt Hutt Ski Area. Our wider environment provides a multitude of options for outdoor enthusiasts, including the new Ōpuke Thermal Resort and Spa, and is a haven for those seeking to become part of a family oriented and tight knit community.
