About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of New Zealand's leading coeducational schools. Burnside High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher of art to join our creative arts faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position, specialising in photography and design and supporting high-quality teaching and learning within our art programme. The successful applicant will be able to teach art across a range of year levels, with particular strength in photography and design, and the ability to engage and motivate students through well-planned, inclusive, and effective classroom practice. You will contribute positively to the wider Faculty and the life of the school, working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting students to achieve their best. We are seeking a reflective and student-focused teacher who demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management, and a commitment to culturally responsive teaching and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and whānau is essential.
