About the role
We are looking for a passionate, relational and forward-thinking PE & Health kaiako to join our kura in January 2027 and help us develop an engaging and relevant programme for our Years 7–10 students. This position will require teaching across the full PE and Health curriculum. This role will have a particular opportunity to take the lead in developing the Health, Hauora and wellbeing aspects of the programme. Key responsibilities Teach engaging PE and Health across Years 7–10. Help design and implement a high-quality, inclusive and varied PE and Health programme. Take a particular lead in developing the health and hauora programme. Work alongside our Senior leader team, kaiako team, whānau and community providers to strengthen connections between Health, Hauora and ākonga wellbeing. Contribute to the development of the wider PE and Health programme, including sport and physical activity opportunities. Work collaboratively with the other kaiako in the curriculum area to ensure a coherent and connected curriculum. Contribute to the future development of Years 11–13 and NCEA PE and Health pathways as our kura grows . Join our team and help us create a PE, Health and Hauora programme that inspires our rangatahi, celebrates who they are, and makes a genuine difference to their wellbeing, confidence and success.
