Taumarunui is a friendly, welcoming district known for its relaxed lifestyle, beautiful natural surroundings, and a strong sense of community. Set amongst rolling hills and on the stunning Whanganui River, Taumarunui is a small town setting, but with all the services of the city. If you seek settled employment, affordable housing, hiking and mountain-bike trails, active sports and cultural clubs, and easy access to Mt Ruapehu for snow skiing and Lake Taupo for recreation, then Taumarunui is the town for you. It’s a place where you can breathe, explore, and truly feel at home, perfect for families and anyone looking to live in the quintessential, yet vibrant Aotearoa-New Zealand rural town setting and lifestyle. Taumarunui High School offers you an opportunity to be part of a close-knit, supportive team that truly values its staff and students. Teachers enjoy a positive teaching and learning environment where innovation is encouraged and professional growth is actively supported. The school’s strong connection with its community creates a warm, inclusive atmosphere, and its smaller class sizes and both collaborative and structured learning approaches, allows teachers to build meaningful relationships and make a real difference for our students. Whilst experienced teachers are preferred and Management Units (MU’s) are available, Beginning Teacher and Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) candidates will also be considered. Some school housing is also available if required. State any other supporting subjects
