About the role
This is a fixed term position while recruiting. Wā Ora Montessori School Board is excited to offer you the opportunity to hold the leadership reins of our school for Term 1, 2027, with the opportunity to extend tenure, as required. As a co-educational, state-integrated school with a private preschool, catering for students from 3 to 18 years old, we deeply value our Montessori philosophy. Our mission is to support the development of each individual child, so they can be the best they can be. We believe that our unique combination of Montessori curriculum, learning materials, environment and community best recognises the student’s full potential and enables them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to live and succeed in today’s changing world. At Wā Ora Montessori, we aim to nurture in the child an innate love of learning that will stay with them throughout their life. To do this, we provide a learning environment that meets the individual needs and interests of the whole child and is based on an authentic Montessori pedagogy. Our well-appointed school is located in Naenae, Lower Hutt, around 30 minutes’ drive from Wellington CBD and within the rohe of Te Āti Awa. We enjoy rewarding parent, whānau, iwi and wider community partnerships. Our teachers and staff are a dedicated group of professionals, who provide high-quality teaching and support for our students. If you have the passion to champion our Montessori special character; if you have proven skills leading curriculum, teaching and learning; if you can inspire and support all in our community to be their best for our students, we would love to hear from you.
