Teacher - Year 2-3 (negotiable)

Levin North School - Taitoko ki te Raki is seeking a caring and an enthusiastic kaiako to join our team in a permanent teaching position. The anticipated year level is Year 2-3 (negotiable). We want our tamariki to feel they belong, enjoy learning and be proud of their progress. We are looking for a teacher who: Enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative and fun team Builds warm, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues Gives life to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and actively develops te reo Māori and tikanga Māori in their classroom Has a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and demonstrated ability to teach effectively in an Aotearoa New Zealand primary school context Brings effective literacy and mathematics teaching practices Uses assessment and data thoughtfully to identify next steps and make a difference for every learner Creates engaging, hands-on learning opportunities Is reflective, takes initiative and follows through Is organised.
