Accelerated Maths & Gifted and Talented (GATE) Teacher

We are seeking an innovative, energetic, and adaptable kaiako to join our supportive team in a 0.4 FTTE fixed-term position for the 2027 school year. This role combines two key areas of learner support and extension: Accelerated Maths (0.2 FTTE): Delivering targeted, explicit instruction in small groups to accelerate student progress in mathematics. Training and support in our approach will be provided. Gifted and Talented Extension (0.2 FTTE): Designing and facilitating high-interest extension learning for ākonga, with a focus on STEAM, passion projects, or high-level literacy and mathematics extension groups. Key attributes and responsibilities: have strong maths expertise be confident teaching multiple year levels bring warmth, creativity, and a learner-focused approach to inspire confidence and curiosity track progress, celebrate growth, and foster critical and creative thinking collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, students, and whānau.
