Mathematics with Pasifika and / or Pāngarau

The Mathematics Learning Area is very well resourced with modern, functional classrooms and excellent resources for teaching and learning. With a large proportion of Māori and Pasifika students, there is a need to cater for their unique requirements in terms of numeracy through either a Pasifika language or Te Reo Māori lens. This fixed-term position is project based for 2027 with the focus being on raising numeracy pass rates for Māori and/or Pasifika students. Key responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and challenge students. Building strong relationships with students, whānau, and colleagues to support student success. Participating actively in curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting. Contributing to co-curricular activities and supporting school events. Honour the principles and give practical effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
