About the role
Are you a passionate, relationship-focused kaiako who wants to make a real difference for tamariki? Rotokawa School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated classroom teacher to join our team, teaching a Year 3/4 class. We are looking for someone who is committed to building strong relationships, creating engaging learning experiences, and supporting every ākonga to achieve their potential. At Rotokawa School, we value whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, rangatiratanga and kotahitanga. We are proud of our tamariki, our community, and our commitment to providing inclusive, culturally responsive learning opportunities that celebrate identity, language and culture. The successful applicant will: Build positive, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues. Deliver engaging, structured and inclusive learning programmes. Have a strong understanding of effective teaching practice in literacy and mathematics. Create a positive classroom environment where tamariki feel safe, valued and motivated to learn. Embrace te ao Māori and support the use of te reo Māori and tikanga Māori in everyday practice. Be reflective, collaborative and committed to ongoing professional growth. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and beginning kaiako who are eager to grow within a supportive school environment. This is a fixed-term teaching position with the potential for a full-time, permanent opportunity for the right person, subject to the school's needs and appointment processes. If you are passionate about tamariki, committed to improving learning outcomes, and want to be part of a school community where relationships matter, we would love to hear from you.
